Project

Ervin Lovett & Miller’s work focused on a major aquatic recreational facility in the Oakleaf Community section of Plantation Oaks. The project is community-oriented, emphasizing sociability and recreation. Inspired by traditional Southern antebellum estates and plantations, the project consists of a social pool with two water slides, zero-entry, dynamic sprayground and social/conversational nodes. In all, it covers approximately 15,000-square-feet. A highly interactive facility, it is ideal for social gatherings such as parties and weddings. It has become the central gathering point for Oakleaf Plantation. It’s Tennis Garden includes a building and eight har-tru courts for league competition, lessons and recreational play. The gardenesque park space linking the waterfront pavilion with the clubhouse emphasizes nature, with mature oaks incorporated into the plan, theme and site design. The project was completed in 2005.
