Role

Ervin Lovett & Miller provided site-planning, architectural and landscape-architectural services.

Project

Phase I of Ameila Station consists of the exterior renovation of the existing 70,000-square-foot center, which includes a major supermarket anchor. Phase II will include the addition of 110,000-square-feet of retail space within ten buildings that will create a pedestrian-friendly, streetscape-oriented “main street.” The master plan calls for a central green flanked by shops and restaurants to create a sense of place for the retail village. Inspiration for the design of the buildings came from traditional Southern architecture. Construction of Phase I is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2007, with Phase II slated to begin in the last quarter of 2007.
